Meet Blake!
Blake Schaper is a homeschooled high school student dedicated to contributing to a thriving Riverbend community. He is the recipient of the Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award for 130+ hours of community service. Blake plans to study business analytics (economics and finance), political science, and journalism.
Blake is a member of Lewis and Clark’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and of Mu Eta Sigma National Math Honor Society. He is the leader of the homeschool Stock Market Game team along with the captain of the Hi-Q Homeschool Scholar Bowl team. Blake has been a member of the Veritas Press homeschool Polyglot Club, holds the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, and plans to receive the Seal of Biliteracy in German and French. Through Math Counts, the Excellence in Math Competition, and Math Con, Blake has earned the top awards for mathematics annually for the St. Louis region.
Blake was a member of the Riverbend Growth Association: Young Adults Committee for the past two years where he enjoyed learning about and assisting local not-for-profits. He has recently finished an internship with the Classic Learning Test as a Past National CLT Scholar this summer and tutors local students in mathematics in his spare time. Blake loves speech and debate, singing, board games, philosophy, and theology.
